Installs, maintains, troubleshoots and upgrades computer hardware, software, and peripheral equipment. Makes recommendations regarding hardware and software acquisitions. Performs general technical support functions, including assembly, configuration and maintenance of the electronics that are acquired by the program. Ensures that all donated electronics are processed in an efficient manner.
Incumbent performs general technical support functions, including assembly, configuration and maintenance of the electronics that are acquired by the program. Ensures that all donated electronics are processed in an efficient manner.
Assembles and configures computers, monitors, and peripherals such as printers, scanners and related hardware; pulls cables and rewires or directs the rewiring of cables as required for new installations.
Process customer sale transactions by ringing the sales on a multi-key cash register and/or POS Computer System, collecting the payment, making change, bagging the merchandise and thanking the customer for shopping at Goodwill
Accurately conduct sales transactions and maintain cash and credit card control by following proper procedures regarding voids, refunds, checks, credit cards, etc.
Provides excellent customer service.
Troubleshoots problems with computer systems, including troubleshooting hardware and software, and peripheral equipment problems; makes repairs and corrections where required.
Performs electronic data destruction (wipe hard drive).
Acts as a technical resource with regard to problems with equipment and data;
Makes hardware and software acquisition recommendations including users assessment of needs and providing justification for equipment and services.
Assists with the planning, design, research and acquisition of new or upgraded hardware and software systems; maintains current knowledge of hardware, software and network technology and recommends modifications as necessary.
Trains diverse populations including but not limited to staff as well as program participants.
Monitors use of supplies and equipment; notifies supervisor with needs of the department in a timely manner.
Perform other duties as required or directed which may be necessary in order to facilitate the mission of the organization.REQUIRED COMPETENCIESApproachability

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
