Mary Star of the Sea Catholic School seeks an innovative, experienced and collaborative Middle School Science Teacher for the 2023-2024 Academic year.
Candidates should possess a desire to work in a Christ-centered school, where faith and reason work together, enjoy working with Middle School students, effectively teach and engage students, and be committed to the mission of Catholic schools.
The candidate must have experience in the relevant academic content specific to science, capable of guiding students through scientific inquiry and activity-based instructional approaches such as labs/projects and application of real-world problems/scenarios.
The candidate must be capable of working collaboratively with colleagues, have experience using 21st century technology tools, use student centered instructional strategies and a desire to help students understand the depth and beauty of God's creation.
Qualifications:
Successful candidates must possess at least a bachelor's degree in an approved program for general education with a preferred science endorsement, technologically proficient, highly organized and eligible for licensure or obtaining licensure.
