Flight Operations and Readiness Training Support (A3TO)

Overview:
Headquarters, Air Combat Command (ACC), Directorate of Operations (A3), Flight Operations Division (A3T) at Langley Air Force Base, VA is responsible for the combat readiness and training of the Combat Air Forces (CAF).
ACC/A3T provides the operational expertise required to meet current and future needs of the CAF by developing, coordinating, and publishing command guidance for all aspects of CAF fighter aircrew trainingRequirement:

Summary:
Advise and assist A3 to plan, organize, and determine necessary policies, regulations, directives, programs, doctrine, and procedures for the establishment and maintenance of assigned major command programs.
Education and
Experience:
Bachelor's degree is required 15 years of USAF fighter or bomber rated aviation experience, some of which was obtained within the last ten years Essential Duties:
Draft classified and unclassified briefing slides for A3, with coordination between members of A3's 10 Divisions and 2 Squadrons, with as little as 2-hours of preparation time.
Briefing presentation will focus on content, operational focus, format, presentation, professionalism, and accuracy.
Coordinate training and readiness issues with Headquarters Air Force (HAF), 22 ACC Wings, 3 Numbered Air Forces (NAFs), the USAF Warfare Center and various Field Operating Agencies under the NAF umbrellas.
Develop executive-level decision support materials for A3 and prepare position papers, staff summary packages, power point presentations, charts, bullet background papers, etc.
, to ensure the strategic vision of the A3 is properly articulated to target audiences and into actionable tasks.
Assist with coordination and planning of A3T hosted conferences, review boards, telecoms, (S)VTCs and meetings to include staff briefing preparation, assistance with event logistics (billeting, protocol liaison, facilities liaison, etc.
) directly supporting A3 and his staff.
Prepare and track branch taskings, consolidate required information, schedule, and make adjustments to taskings based on affected Division/Squadron manning, experience, training, and abilities.
Analyze taskings, procedures, practices, and resources for the A3 directorate to be able to effectively and efficiently resolve operational challenges and issues to help ensure successful mission accomplishment.
Assist in the drafting of aircrew or aircraft/training device policy and standards for safe operations of a variety of aircraft assigned to the Command; plan, coordinate, and assist in the implementation of operational plan (OPLAN) tasking; and developing long-range planning for the acquisition of advanced weapon systems to support command missions.
Assist in the generation and maintenance of unit Design Operational Capability (DOC) statements in accordance with governing directives.
Develop, modify, maintain, and/or eliminate validated combat aircrew training requirements via the Ready Aircrew Program (RAP) for government consideration.
Draft consolidated unit RAP and other periodic reporting into decision quality products for senior leader review, direction, and guidance.
Draft Combat Air Forces formal flying training requirements and coordinate the allocation of training resources between MAJCOMs, components, and other end users.
Assist in creating or updating AF Instructions including Major Weapon System (MWS) specific training and operational guidance.
Draft analysis to support A3 strategic planning and execution teams on specific issues, quick look studies and provide analysis of force structure and operational issues directly impacting ACC and CAF operations worldwide.
Assist in analyzing unit and MWS readiness reports for operational, programmatic or other trends, shortfalls or disconnects.
Advise leadership on readiness issues which may affect USAF support to Combatant Commanders.
Assist in the execution of CAF Readiness Reviews, CAF Formal Training Reviews, and Training Annexes.
Participate in high-level meetings with General Officers and other Senior Staff members, translating strategic vision into recommended actionable tasks.
Assist in defining A3, ACC and CAF positions and develop recommendations for issues affecting Combat Air Force operational training and readiness.
Assist in the analysis of current policies, programs and requirements as they apply to ACC and worldwide CAF operations and help develop solutions that can make these forces more effective in their ability to support warfighting COCOMs.
Interact and work in conjunction with the HQ ACC Senior Staff, their processes, and responsibilities.
Knowledge, Skill and Abilities:
