Assertive Community Treatment, or ACT is a team of medical, behavioral health, and rehabilitative professionals who use a team approach to meet the needs of an individual with severe and persistent mental illness.
Admission criteria include severe and persistent mental illness, predominately Schizophrenia, and high service needs in order to maintain stability.
The LPN will assists the staff psychiatrist in the prescription, administration and monitoring of client medications; performs routine physical and mental health nursing assessments, orders and dispenses prescribed medications and other medically based treatment services and provides supportive counseling.
May monitor the medical needs of clients and/or administers methadone to clients.
Prepares related documents and records.
Incumbent may administer drug testing, T.

Valid Virginia Driver's LicenseThe selected candidate must successfully pass a criminal history fingerprint background investigation, Child Registry search, drug screening test and employment reference checks.
