Prncpl Cloud Administrator
The Principal Systems Administrator - Cloud Systems Administrator will be a technical leader on the AOC LTM&S Cloud migration team, collaborating with software engineers in an Agile/DevOps environment supporting Raytheon's AF Air Operations Center (AOC) LTM&S program with information system capabilities in the AWS cloud with a primarily Windows OS based environment. This individual works in Hampton Roads at Langley AFB, VA.
The cloud administration encompasses set-up and maintenance of Amazon Web Services (AWS) computing environments and virtualization with VMware within these environments. As part of the Cloud Migration Team, the Cloud System Administrators will support the planning and migration of legacy AOC applications into this new environment.
This role will include, but is not limited to tasks like the following:
Set up and maintain AWS environments.
Manage virtualized Windows and Linux systems in a Cloud environment
Lead the installation and build of VMWare VMs.
Utilize automation tools to optimize the environments for DevOps.
Participate in planning and execution of legacy application migration.
Set up administrator and service accounts, maintaining system documentation, tuning system performance, troubleshooting, installing system wide software and addressing mass storage space requirements.
Make recommendations to integrate new custom and cloud software, coordinates installation and supports operations.
Provide expertise in troubleshooting issues.
Assist in developing system requirements, as well as developing backup and recovery solutions
Required Skills:
Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance
Subject Matter Expertise in AWS and multiple AWS technologies. Must have experience deploying and administering systems in this environment

Experience developing automation solutions and working in a highly automated environment
Experience with cloud based data storage and data backup
DoD 8570.01 IAT Level 2 (or higher) - Level 2 requires one or more of the following Professional Certifications: CCNA Security, GICSP, GSEC, Security
CE, SSCP
Desired Skills:
Active Secret Security Clearance
Linux administration experience
Experience with Platform technologies such as Pivotal Cloud Foundry and Red Hat OpenShift
Experience with Microservices
Knowledge of baseline management and operations inside a cloud environment
AWS Certification such as SysOps Administration
Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IAC) tools (e.g. Chef, Puppet, Ansible) and fluency in the associated programming languages (e.g. Ruby, Python)
Scripting / programming experience
Strong experience working as part of a team collaborating on problem resolution.
Required Education:
University Degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience.
